For K1 children, learning maths is about much more than getting a head start on primary school topics. It is an opportunity to explore, make connections, and develop ways of thinking that help them understand the world.
At this age, we help children learn to:

Two Learning Pathways to Support Your Child
Our K1 programme offers two pathways: Math High Achiever (MHA) and Math Olympiad Competition Prep (CO(P)).
Drawing on the Singapore mathematics syllabus and selected lower-primary competition topics, our curriculum develops seven core skills:

Together, these skills help children build strong foundations and become more flexible, independent thinkers.
Math High Achiever (MHA)
Build strong foundations through discovery.
The K1 MHA programme nurtures mathematical thinking, curiosity, and a love of learning.
Through enjoyable activities with just the right level of challenge, children learn to observe carefully, try out ideas, explain their thinking, and solve problems. Along the way, they strengthen their number sense, spatial awareness, and logical reasoning.
Math Olympiad Competition Prep (CO(P))
Explore further with an added level of challenge.
The K1 CO(P) programme is designed for children who grasp new ideas readily, stay focused, have strong number sense, and enjoy tackling more challenging problems.
Alongside reinforcing the fundamentals, the course introduces more advanced activities and competition-style problem-solving. Children explore question types and strategies encountered in K2-level maths competitions, building a foundation for future competition learning.
